We present an evening of sets from an eclectic and exciting collection of three North West based bands whose members are either students or alumni of Liverpool Liverpool Hope University.

Nikki & The Waves is a spicy glitter-fuelled indie pop band from Liverpool. With influences ranging from funk to indie rock and dream pop, they’re difficult to pin down but easy to listen to. Mixing brass with upbeat guitars and melancholic melodies they manage to create a modern sound that is nostalgic at the same time. Make sure to be wearing your dancing shoes when seeing them live!

The Left Backs are an Indie-Rock 4-piece made up of school friends that formed in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 2013. They began by creating a name for themselves in Ireland through gigging, winning competitions and playing festivals as well as receiving critical acclaim for their debut EP The Morning After the Night Before. Their musical journey has now taken them across the water To Liverpool where they have established themselves well within the scene landing slots at the prestigious local festival ‘Sound City’. With their high-energy performances and catchy tunes, their live show is always a safe bet for a great show.

Patchwork Rattlebag is an electronica outfit that is hard to compare to other acts. They label their style 'brainpop' and while they are keen to reference Nietzsche, they are far from serious, stoic arty types.... Ian Leslie, Salford Star Magazine called them "the greatest brainpop, psychedelic, arty, vocal harmony, acoustic, electro dance act you're likely to hear."
