National Student Survey 2016

Initial Teacher Education at Liverpool Hope University Ranked Top Provider in the Northwest and one of the Top Three Universities in England for Student Satisfaction in the National Student Survey 2016.

With an overall student satisfaction rate of 99%, Initial Teacher Education at Liverpool Hope University is celebrating exceptional ratings for a second year running.

We are Top in the Northwest of England in the National Student Survey, out-ranking all other Northwest providers by 10% or more. 

In addition, nationally we are one of the Top Three English Universities for overall student satisfaction amongst 41 ITE providers.

Initial Teacher Education at Liverpool Hope ranks as the 'Top University in the Country' scoring 99% overall satisfaction in the following categories:

  • I have been able to contact staff when I needed to (12% above Sector).
  • The course has helped me to present myself with confidence (10% above Sector).
  • My communications skills have improved (19% above Sector).


ITE at Liverpool Hope was rated well above the sector average in the following categories:

  • Prompt Feedback’ with a score of 95% (33% above the Sector average).
  • ‘The course is ‘Well Organised’, with a 97% satisfaction rating (29% above the sector average).


And joint first in the country in the following categories:

  • Staff are enthusiastic about what they are teaching (8% above Sector)
  • The criteria used in marking have been clear in advance (19% above Sector)
