The IELTS examinations, with the scores as indicated, are acceptable for direct entry if taken no more than two years prior to enrolment. The British Council can advise on English Language qualifications. For further information or to book an IELTS test please visit the British Council website. You can also look at the government website for guidance notes on applying for a UK visa: approved English Language tests.
Please note that the English language requirements above are applicable to non-EU students who require a visa to study in the UK. If you are an EU student, other English Language qualifications may be acceptable. Please contact our Home and EU Admissions team to find out whether your qualification is acceptable.
Dont meet the English Language requirement?
Applicants that do not meet the English language requirements but meet the academic qualifications will be considered after successful completion of a pre-sessional English course.
