An important aim of the Education degree at Liverpool Hope University is to develop all our students as 'Hope Education Professionals'. Students meet with their personal tutor to review their personal, professional and academic development. These meetings are structured around the ‘Hope Education Professional’ which is a set of ideals that set a benchmark for progression through the degree and onto further study or employment. This prepares our students not only for a career in teaching, but a range of other roles in education such as social work, work in the charity sector and informal education.
"Studying Education at Liverpool Hope has provided me with many perspectives regarding education. The theoretical context of education regarding its history, developments and future challenges is incredibly inspiring for students. The course is tailored within a very current context which for me is a very important aspect of the course. The content of the course has been both academically stimulating but also fascinating on a more personal level.
The team of personal tutors provide an incredible amount of support. The political context of education has been of particular interest to me – and has guided my dissertation topic - an area I wish to continue into Masters study and future work."
